| Michael Pullens is a strategic marketer in heart and soul. Eighteen years this field formed the core of his professional life as a management consultant and entrepreneur. The last years he has become more and more involved in undertaking and participating (consulting) assignments in several roles. Michael studied Business Administration at Nijenrode (BBA) and the Emory (Goizueta) Business School in Atlanta, USA (MBA). He gained the degree Master or Management Consultancy (MMC) at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam/ROA. He also participated in the 'Making Corporate Boards more Effective Program' at Harvard Business School. He gained his first experience as a consultant at the Executive Board for Materials at the Royal Dutch Land Forces. Afterwards, he was operational as a consultant at A.T. Kearney, where he focused at projects on logistics, marketing management and management accounting. He was operational at VODW marketing & management consultants for nine years. In the function of managing consultant he was responsible for the competence areas finance and telecom and member of the management team and was an invited member of the partner group. In 2000, together with Denis Maessen, Michael Pullens founded the Strategic Development Group, management consultants (SDG), a consultancy that aims at strategic renewal. Typical assignments which he carries out have to do with strategy development aimed at renewals or strategic scenarios. These are developed into business plans and lead to fundamental changes. During implementation phases he is mostly active in managing specialists and acts as a sounding board for management. His particular interest goes out to network strategy and organization, scenario, and growth strategies and Board Effectiveness. He publishes about these topics, is a speaker at congresses and lectures at management trainings. Above all he is a strategic marketer. He is founder and partner of SDG. | |  |
